Lewiston soccer workforce wins state title weeks after mass capturing

OAKLAND, Maine — The boys’ highschool soccer workforce in a Maine metropolis that was the location of a mass capturing greater than two weeks in the past has gained the state title.

The Lewiston Excessive College Blue Devils defeated the Portland Deering Excessive College Rams 3-2 on Saturday within the Class A state championship sport.

The October 25 capturing at a bowling alley and a close-by bar in Lewiston killed 18 individuals and injured 13 others, making it the deadliest mass capturing in Maine’s historical past.
