A century later, the US Military overturned the convictions of 110 black troopers

The US Military on Monday overturned the court-martial sentences issued a century in the past towards 110 African-American troopers, together with 19 who had been executed, saying they had been denied truthful trials in a historic recognition of official racism in America.

The Military Board for the Correction of Army Information vacated the convictions, restored their service data to having ended honorably and made their descendants eligible for army advantages, the Military stated in a press release.
